Building the HR Management Capacity of Nonprofit Employers in Nova Scotia

Through the Nova Scotia Department of Labour and Advanced Education, Community Foundations of Canada is working to improve HR management capacity of nonprofit employers in Nova Scotia.

This year-and--a-half long project (March 2013 to September 2014) has three areas of activity:

  • Provide employers with access to an online organizational HR management assessment tool;
  • Deliver HR management standards training to nonprofit representatives most responsible for HR in their organizations in regions across the province; and
  • Collaborate, coordinate and share learnings.
